Yoga Class Descriptions


Foundation and Form is a gentle practice and an opportunity to explore the fundamentals of yoga through meditation, pranayama (breath work), and movement. Foundational yoga poses and philosophies are presented in an approachable way to allow beginner and seasoned yogis of all ability levels to build their practice from the ground up.


Strength and Surrender is a moderate practice that builds on the basics. An energizing mix of dynamic flow and static poses helps build strength, flexibility, stamina and focus. More advanced postures, including arm balances, inversions, and backbends will be offered with appropriate modifications to fit every person’s practice. This practice includes meditation and pranayama techniques to allow deep relaxation in mind and muscles.


Fierce Flow is a vinyasa style practice that links breath and movement to strengthen the connection between mind and body and provides a space to explore more advanced sequences and poses. Sun salutations may make an appearance but teachers are encouraged to allow their creative voice to make each class unique.


Relax and Restore is a gentle healing form of yoga that is practiced with props to provide a supportive environment for total relaxation and a deep sense of peace. Several long-held, gentle and relaxing poses are practiced with yogic breathing and meditation techniques to foster relaxation and restoration of the body, mind and spirit.


Yin Yoga is a meditative and gentle practice of long-held, floor level poses that allow joints, ligaments, and deep soft tissues to open, increasing flexibility and mobility. Yin yoga can be a challenge for the mind because it holds the body still for an extended period of time while working with the breath to soothe and relax the nervous system. A way to balance a busy schedule or strenuous workout.


Yoga Tune UpⓇ  is a fitness therapy format built around the three P’s – Pain, Posture and Performance. It helps eradicate pain, improve posture and enhance performance through a unique blend of Corrective Exercise, Self Massage and Yoga. By helping to identify and target your “body blind spots”; areas that are most overused, underused, or misused, YTU heals damaged muscle, increases strength and mobility, and establishes healthy movement patterns to help you live better in your body.
