Cherry Hill Health and Racquet Club offers a variety of co-ed youth basketball programs designed to help students develop their skills while they practice, compete, make friends and have fun in a safe environment. Our coaching staff has significant basketball playing and coaching experience to help ensure your kids get the best instruction possible. And our year-round program draws boys and girls from every town in South Jersey as well as Philadelphia and Delaware, providing a great opportunity for students to meet and play against a wide range of kids. Cherry Hill offers skills clinics for ages 6-8 and 9-11 to teach the basics to those just starting out in the sport, as well as offer development to those who already have an understanding of the game. Sessions start with a warm-up and cardio, then students rotate from station to station working on skill development. Each session ends with games and contests. Our non-competitive Youth Basketball Skills Clinics are all about fun, exercise and learning.
Our introductory program for 4- and 5-year-olds focuses on having fun, getting exercise, developing good social skills and learning the basics of basketball. This non-competitive program will get little ones moving!
Cherry Hill’s year-round youth basketball leagues are a great opportunity to compete and play once a week with players of all levels. Students can join as individuals, with friends, or even as a team. We offer a league for ages 6-8, a league for ages 9-10, a league for ages 11-13, and a high school league. Players will enjoy fun, exercise and some friendly competition!
Cherry Hill offers basketball travel teams for high-level players. The season starts with a tryout in mid-March and runs through mid-July. Teams practice and engage in strength training at our top-notch facility and compete in local and regional tournaments. Our travel teams are an exciting way for students to compete against the top players from the region in the spring and summer to complement their middle school, high school or travel season.
Students who want to step up their game can work one on one with our best trainers to improve their game and skills. Training is tailored specifically to a player’s individual needs so he or she will see results fast. All of our trainers have played high school and college basketball and several play professionally, so they’re well qualified to help you take your game to the next level!
Small-group basketball training is a chance for students to work with one of Cherry Hill’s high-level trainers to improve their game and skills in a personalized setting tailored specifically to the needs and skill level of the group. Not only is small-group training less expensive than private training, but it also proves more motivating for certain kids. Form your own group or let us know you’re interested and we’ll add you to a small group. All of our trainers have played high school and college basketball and several of them play professionally, so they’re well qualified to help you take your game to the next level!
Max Skills Training integrates one hour of basketball drills with one hour of speed and strength training via our on-site Parisi Speed and Strength School. This program for ages 11-18 includes some light strength training and high-level skill development. This comprehensive program includes basketball skills combined with the fitness development that is key to any sport. Students can become better all-around athletes!
